Based on my drafts I would like my cover to contain the following:
- A mid shot of the main antagonist sat on a chair looking quite menacing.
- A close up of the cards we used in the filming.
or
 - A Medium close up of the Protagonist and antagonist grappling each other looking like they are in a conflict, this would mainly to enforce the idea that it is these two against each other.
(I had previously decided that I really like the idea of the medium close up of the main characters fighting, and if I didn't use it for a poster I would use it for my magazine)

Research and Planning: London Research Post 1
While we were in London we went around a Film museum which had many exhibits on many genres these are the pictures I took while I was there. (I had to use my phone which is fairly old, therefore the quality isn't the greatest)

Research and Planning: Production Meeting 1 (Roles)
In this production meeting we discussed the roles we will each take. The different areas are sound, cinematography, mise en scene and editing.
We decided that:
- Kristian will be doing mise en scene, this will include all props, make up and costume.
- Adam will be doing cinematography, this will  involve shot types, angles, and help with scene set up.
- Bethany will be editing the clips we shoot, this will include transitions between scenes and editing the final product.
-We decided to do sound together as this is what we consider to be the most difficult area to do on the whole.

Research and Planning: Film Magazine Analysis 2
Sherlock Holmes is a famous detective which is why I chose to analyse this particular magazine as this character focus's on solving crimes.
The colours that were used were are red white silver and blue. The silver and white go together quite well as they exaggerate each other efficiently and act as an easy way to read both lines. They have highlighted most of the key parts of the cover stories in red such 'Alice in wonderland' and 'free posters' however they highlighted the buzzword 'First Look!' in a yellow box which stands out against all the other colours on the magazine.
The main picture is a mid close up showing Sherlock's shoulders and face. It shows his serious expression his eyes are also fixed in front, acting as a direct mode of address. The same can be said about the smaller picture of the mad hatter who is coming out of the polaroid-esque box that his picture is in. The photos in the bottom of the magazine are all close ups of various characters in various films all held quite nicely inside a length of film reel which makes the genre quite obvious however due to the fact that film reels have become quite outdated this may not be the case much longer.
Research and Planning: Film Magazine Analysis 1

I thought I would use this film magazine as it is mainly of inception which aside from the mind bending nature of the film is about a crime taking place.
The colours used are red silver and white for the magazine whilst the blue background is used to exaggerate the red and make the buzz words such as 'First looks!' stand out since they are the main points of interest which will draw the reader in. although this goes against the 3 colour rule since the silver and white are so similar it wouldn't be extremely noticeable from a distance.

Research and Planning: Video Interview Questions
1. What would you expect see in a crime films teaser trailer? for example, briefly explain the plot.
(Ask for elaboration if necessary)
2. What trailer type do you think would be more effective?
For example if we were to do a film about a serial killer. should we focus more on the plot and the mood of the trailer or the actual killing. (Ask why or for elaboration if necessary)
3. Should I focus on the main character only in the trailer or should I include side stories for the other characters? (To build up more plot)
4.
5.
Research and Planning: Production meeting 2 (Plots)
We decided on 2 different plots both of them in the crime genre.
1. 4 days:
A man is being told to rob 4 certain banks to get a large sum of money within 4 days, the people telling him to rob the banks have his family hostage and are threatening to kill them unless he gathers the money from all of them. Snapchat is used to show the families condition through the film.
2. Ace high:
A detective receives an e-mail from a stranger saying something like, "we're going to play a game".
This person kills up to 14 people, and lays a card down on their body. eg kills someone 2of spades on their corpse. After killing everyone up to the king card. the detective looks in his pocket and he has the ace in his pocket meaning he is the last target. Ace is high.
After a discussion we decided that we would go with plot idea 2 since it seems easier to do.

Research and Planning: Questionnaire Conclusion
Looking at the results of my questionnaires I can conclude that the people we have interviewed would prefer a trailer from the criminals point of view, however I will go with a more conventional route of a detective/ police point of view as I believe this would be easier to pull off effectively.
One thing that the questionnaire did show which I agreed with was that 12 people said they expected the trailer to be of a 15 rating. With aid from the BBFC's rating system i am hoping that I can replicate that rating in the trailer once I start to make it.
I am hoping to get a mix of young actors (20 - 30) and Middle aged (30 +) (I am using these terms as generic meanings just to say, however I think the actors of this age rating would look the part).
The questionnaires showed that a murder mystery would be more popular out of the ones we had wrote on the them. Which is great since we have a plot prepared for that type of crime film.
