Research and Planning: Genre Research

Horror: Examples

Whats required: Low key lighting, Dramatic tones to keep the viewers on the edge of their seat. We could use a low budget by doing something like jaws if we decide to use a monster, by using a specific tone or tune so that the audience understands the monster is close by or we could use a person and go for a typical slasher flick. Horror films are about keeping the viewers on the edge of their seat and keeping tensions high.  Good soundtrack is required to do this.

Comedy: examples

Whats required: A funny Script, with actors who can keep a straight face during the jokes or ridiculous moments, high key lighting, and happy bouncy music to get the viewers in a good mood. a large budget isn't needed to make a comedy film so it should be a realistic genre to make as long as we have a good script. Comedy films require good jokes that many people would find appropriate and have good fun laughing to. A very good scriptwriter would be required to make this.

Social Realism: Examples

Whats required: A social realism film is about a real everyday life however something may happen examples may be drugs, or some form of crime. This would be fairly easy to do and would require a small budget, social realism films can include a negative or positive feel in them, therefore it is difficult to say what i specifically would need except from realistic looking lighting, a soundtrack to keep the audience interested and a decent script of which would keep the audience interested.

Docudrama: Examples

Whats required: A Docudrama is a Documentary film that has been dramatised to give additional effect. films like this need a good concept to document first and then good actors and script to aid the drama, a god soundtrack could also help with the drama, but special effects such as slow motion and other things such as camera movements and shots would do it much better.
